InnHouse Group of Companies (“InnHouse”) today announced that it has acquired the shares of Argus Carriers, Ltd (“Argus”). Founded in 1948, Argus is a Burnaby, BC-based transportation and logistics company providing delivery services throughout British Columbia and Washington State with satellite terminals in Kelowna, Nanaimo and Victoria. In addition to being an agent for large national carriers, Argus serves a diverse customer base carrying dry freight throughout the region. Argus offers expedited cartage within Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, and daily LTL deliveries to Vancouver Island, BC Interior, and the Pacific Northwest United States.
The business of Argus complements that of Abbotsford-based Inter-Urban Delivery Services, Ltd, acquired late 2013 by InnHouse. The combined companies now offer dry freight coverage across BC and into Washington State with nearly 100 power units and 75,000 sq. ft. of cross-dock and warehousing across 5 locations in BC. “Rod and Joanne Neufeld, second generation owners, have built an excellent company to be proud of,” noted Jamil Murji, now President and CEO of both companies.
